1) Death occurs at -10 (or -CON if using that house rule) only after a round has elapsed. If someone heals a character to -9 or higher before the round is up, that character is not dead.
2) D3 for Cure Minor instead of 1 point. I know it is ticky-tac, but what an annoyingly next to worthless little spell otherwise. You cannot even use it to get out of disabled (for yourself) at 0 hit points.
3) Cure Light Wounds is always a first level spell, Cure Moderate Wounds a second level spell, etc. Why even bother to give a Ranger Cure Light Wounds at all if the earliest he can get it is 8th level? It makes more sense to give it to him when he acquires an Animal Companion so that he can actually prevent it from dying. Not all Rangers are in PC parties.
