It depends on if you (the DM) rule that the melee spell attack is "made" with the weapon used in casting the spell.
If yes: then you should add the bonus of the weapon to the melee spell attack rolls and the damage.
If no: then you shouldn't.
For the small bonus in damage to the 6d10 force damage, it is pretty small. The larger part is if you choose to allow adding the magical bonus to the attack roll.
Other implications apply as well. What if you cast Magic Weapon on the weapon before casting Steel Wind Strike?
If you are a rogue, can you add sneak attack if it is a finesse weapon, etc.?
If the spell's damage equaled the weapon used + 5d10 force damage, then most definitely.
