Abjuration all the way. If wizards existed I'd be all for protecting myself from all the whackos that'd go around trying to charm/dominate people, or the nuts going around lobbing fireballs and stinking clouds all over the place. It'd be essential for survival to walk around with a Mind Blank and contingent Globe of Invulnerability going; nevermind dispel magic and disjunction.
Living at a really hilly university, teleportation spells look really good to me, so I'd have to say a conjurer. Plus, summoning extraplanar being and visiting other dimensions is really what it's all about. Who needs to raise the dead or enchant the living when you can just summon a devil to do it for you? Having a few fiends hanging around is a great way to make friends. Whether they want to be your friends or not.
Either Diviner or Abjurer. I like knowing stuff, but I also like staying in one piece -- and I'm pretty sure I could figure out either the "knowledge is power" bit or a weird "best offense is a good defense" thing.
The schools I'd drop are Illusion and Enchantment. Got no use for the former and the latter is the most unethical, IMHO.
