Ignoring DR with an unarmed attack

I believe Eagle Claw allows you to do more damage to inanimate objects, allowing you to more easily bypass hardness. I may be remembering the 3.0 feat, however.

That's from 3.0e for sure. Sword & Fist to be specific.

"Eagle Claw Attack" was the name of the feat. I'm still amused by the name for some reason. :)

While there was an eagle claw attack in Sword and Fist, its not the one you all are talking about (that one let you sunder weapons with blugeoning attacks...and has the honor of being THE weakest feat in dnd 3.x history). In 3.5, eagle claw lets you add your wisdom mod to sunder damage against weapons and objects.

I believe there was a feat in the Draconomicon which reduced an opponent's DR by 5 for your attacks. The name is escaping me right now though.

The feat in question is Sense Weakness. It requires and Intellgence of 13 and Combat Expertise, so perhaps not optimal unless you have good rolls/point buy. You can find it on page 106.

I just remembered Aligned Attack from the XPH (and SRD). It's good for punching through DR x/Good, but not much else.

Works with any attack (armed or unarmed, melee or ranged, though I don't recommend ranged unarmed attacks).
