Im getting OD&D on friday..What can I expect?

The saving throw charts for 1st ed. AD&D are found in the DMG, not the Players Handbook.
As an alternative, one might use the 1e Dungeon Master's Screen instead. The saving throws are on there as well.

That is another bummer.

I wont be able to buy anything in till I get a new Debit card from the bank (I have ested to accounts, one for business, and one for pleasure) so I am stuck with the PHB in till then.

Right now, I have fielded most of the rules out in varouis play tests, and pending saving throws I only part with the rules:

Inish
Thaco (I use Thaco, but counted like BAB in a way)
Elf's Gish becomes it own class.
Bards are fine, and Psions are there own class as Magic user (Psion replaces magic)
Saves*

*Pending I can get information on them, and I still do not like them

I've got some AD&D books you can have, specifically a second copy of the PLAYERS HANDBOOK, a DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE and a DUNGEON MASTERS SCREEN.

Plus other goodies if you want.

Drop me an email and I'll send them to you tomorrow. Or perhaps Tuesday (I imagine that the post office will be pretty slammed tomorrow...)

THACO house rule:

Fighters/Paladin/Ranger: Thaco score increase every level (+1 to hit each level)

Monk/Thief/Assasian/Druid/Cleric: Thaco score increases every two levels (+1 to hit every other level)

Magic User/Psion/Illusionist: Thaco score increases every three levels (+1 to hit every three levels)

So: At fourth level:

Paladin: +4 on attack
Monk: +2 on attack
Psion: +1 on attack.

Then you add the ability bonus if any, and subtract from ac to find out what you need to roll.

Inish:

Fairly straight forward. Each player rolls 1d20 and adds the AC bonus from Dex (the - means add and vice versa) if any.

As part of my normal house rules, A new Inish is rolled each round. (Its rolled after your action for the next round)

Actions:

Players get two actions a round. These are equal to a 'standard action' Players can 'Attack/Attack' or 'Move/Move' or any combo of the two. All other actions also take standard actions. Attacks stack with extra attacks granted by level.
