Aw, you spoiled the fun. You should have said:

The bride at Kahuna Burger's wedding is a gamer! :)

Yes, yes, I realize that now. Actually, I had started my reply, but then got called away. Later, I returned and finished it (all the while, still being distracted). So, enough with the "Shame, shame! You didn't read the whole thread!" remarks.

And anyway, my original reply still stands if you simply switch the word "bride" with "husband".

So, there... ! :p

Congratulations! I hope you two have a great honeymoon. I am fast approaching my wedding day too. Feb. 21 here I come.

Enjoy yourselves!

Dave

The bride confusion is expected, I have a gender neutral name and avatar, after all...

The dress was finished in a day and a half frenzy of sewing by my mom, with me helping in between working on a mosiac project for the wedding* and stressing about various things. It came out very nice and if I get pictures in the next day or so I'll post them.

My beloved husband is also a gamer, and I'm considering posting a couple of threads asking for spending advice for the gift certificates - he wants at least one empire/war/mass combat book and I like monster manuals with lots of PC playable races... The puggy's name is lilac, she's only six months and luckily I work for a vet so the bills will be somewhat abated. :)

* I like the idea of having kind of a group craft project at the wedding so you end up with a nice artsy reminder of the day. Since I want a rock garden next spring, I had people make mosaic tiles, putting the glass chips onto contact paper in cardboard frames so that the guests wouldn't actually have to work with grout in nice clothes. :D

And best of all, two different friends gave us gift certificates to the coolest gaming store in the tri state area (Pandemonium books and games for thse not in the Boston know...) So there will be a massive gaming shopping spree as part of the honeymoon!

Kahuna Burger

Congratulations!

Sounds like you've never been to Salem though . . . I can't recommend Harrison's (and also, if only for its impressive if disorganized collection of various RPG stuff, the Red Lion Smoke Shop) enough. :)

Lots of monster books out there -- which ones you have now?

funny, thats the advice people kept giving my fiancee... :p (I'm the chick half of this duo, btw...)

Congrats! Marriage rocks. Don't let anyone give you any of that "wait til the honeymoon wears off" crap. Been married 9 years (11/29), and it's been the best part of my life.

I wish you and your spouse the best.
