Sometimes it can be helpful to watch other people play.

There's also a few 4e D&D (4th edition Dungeons & Dragons) games on youtube run by Chris Perkins (who is one of the guys who works for the company that produces the game) that might be worth taking a look at (though be warned some of them contain adult language).

A youtube search for 'Chris Perkins D&D' should list most of them.
 

Think about any other game. They provide challenges, they are exciting, they make you think about problems and maybe even basic questions of life.
