I'm not ashamed! (Simple Life)

They also watered down the milk and joked that they would hate to be the people who got that milk, not understanding that the people who will buy it probably are on a budget and can't just go buy another.

Yep. They clearly didn't figure out that some people are going to take that milk and give it to their children, only to discover that it is watered down crap with dirt in it. There's no excuse for their behaviour, especially since they were told that the milk was for human consumption, and told that the milk was the livlihood of the owner. I wonder how much Paris' extended long distance phone call to her mother set the dairy farmer back too.

I also found it ironic that after acting like six-year olds for the entirety of the first two episodes, they had the gall to say "we're adults and can do what we want" before sneaking out after midnight. No children, adults are people who are responsible, can hold jobs for longer than a day, and can support themselves when necessary. You two are not adults, you are children inhabiting physically mature bodies.

All the more reason why children born rich need their parents to air-drop them into the Alaskan Wilderness at age 16. :) See you in a month or two, Paris! :D

Seriously though, I'd be embarrassed if I had a child who acted like either of them acted (or were portrayed, depending on your take). There are many rich around, but most of them got that way through hard work and common sense. If everything in life is handed to you, and nothing is expected of you, it's far less likely you will have both a work ethic or compassion for others.

I didn't see this show, but after reading about this I'm really hoping the producer or whoever was in charge of the camera unit paid the farmer for his losses after the girls were done. And that the milk got disposed of.

Then when the two of them were talking to the teenage son, and he went back inside to get a jacket, what was Nicole said about him? "He's cute. We should have a three-way with him." :o

The show busted my skank-o-meter big time.

Having not seen the show, I have to ask how old this teenager was? I want to know what setting the skank-o-meter was on when it blew. :)

I saw this show last night while waiting for the West Wing - ye gods. Forget the internet video, the Hiltons should've been suing to keep this show off the air. Don't think I'll make a habit of watching it, it was just painful seeing how far out of touch those girls are with reality.

On a semi-related note, it gives me a certain perverse pleasure to know that Bill Gates, computer-geek looking mofo that he is, could walk into one of the bustling New York socialite parties that Paris & Nicky probably attend all the time with their equally rich, trendy, and empty-headed "friends," look around and scream; "I have more money than all of you put together! MUAHAHAHAHAH!!!" :D

Yeah, Paris asked if they sold walls. Man, their parents must be SO proud.

I really didn't mean to put those two sentences together. I am surprised someone didn't have them cram on some of the stuff they might need to know. Walmart, Kmart, etc... unless they weren't allowed to be tutored.
But really, their families must be so embarassed.

Auroragyps

"Paris, you ignorant slut!" (The Simple Life does SNL)
New Sig? ;)

I don't know. Just from looking at him, I'd guess about 16 or so.

What was it that I heard Will Smith say on the Tonight Show during an interview regarding his eldest son.

His son said something to the effect, upon realizing his dad's status...

Will Smith's Son: "We're rich."

Will Smith: "No Tre (I think that's his son's name). I'm rich. You have nothing."

Will Smith actually impresses me as a pretty down-to-earth fellow and good parent. I've heard him and his wife talk about some of the stuff they do for their kids, and they obviously care about raising them right. Kudos to the few people in Hollywood that seem to do that!
