The other thing is - even if you don't include the estimated tax for the extension, you'll only have to pay interest on what you owe, and if you don't owe much (or get a refund) that will be a pretty small amount.

I couldn't file because my stupid ex did not provide me with the form I needed to claim my daughter, and since I can't claim her without it, I was sort of screwed. I didn't even file and extension. I will be penalized. I have had them done for over 2 months now. :(

Ghettognome...that sucks. And sadly, the IRS doesn't sympathize with us when that stuff happens!

It took me an hour and a half of hitting the "transmit" button for TurboTax because of overloaded servers, but I beat the clock!
