You have never been played. And even then, you still would not have existed, for you would have been a simple fictional character (rather than a fictional fictional character).

Perhaps the missing "g" in Blackleaf's spelling of "exaggeration" in her signature gives us a clue. Perhaps it was expended when she looked in the mirror and said, "Gee! I'm dead!" Or perhaps the "g" stands for "gone".
