I'm really happy with 3.5, I have a ton of money invested in it, and have been playing it for a long time. I don't care about 4E. I'm sure it will be awesome and really cool, but I don't think I'm going to spend 100 + dollars on it when I already have a great game.

kkbai~

My group's already playing 4e. (It's just like 3e but we times everything by 1000. My fighter has a 23,000 Armor Class. Beat that, sniz-nitches.)

Edited to correct the spelling of "sniz-nitches".

Surely multiplying 3E by 3 orders of magnitude would make it 6E. Or is that E6?

Actually, the way we came to it was to take my idea for Final Fantasy D&D-- which was to times everything by 10,000-- and and tone it down to something that wasn't so grossly overpowered.

You make it sound like you'll have a choice. Considering what level those Wizards are, I would expect Dominate Person is the least of the spells at their disposal.

I have a LOT of money invested into 3.X books. I'm not interested in buying all of them again. I haven't gamed in a couple of years due to a lack of gamers in my area (and on my schedule). I don't see myself buying 4E when it comes out.

I will play it. I am convinced they will change just enough to make the game better without it being totaly different (close to what they do with SW Saga, I would gues) and as I did not buy any class options books or the like for 3.5, why not? Of course, my collection of monster manuals for 3E will not be worth more than my 2nd MMs, but I even use those on occassion.
I like to buy a good RPG book every 1 or 2 month, and during the time it would take to finish running campaigns I would get the new core books and game on.
As for the 3.5 stuff being useless, how many books do you expect them to release at once? I think many things will stay quite useful, I expect the difference to be somewhat like AD&D to AD&D2nd. (But I hope 4th Ed will be a cleaned up version of 3E, not worse than it.)
