I'm not upset because the extent of the 3.x product I own are three 3.0 PH's and a handful of Malhavok PDF's. I'm reminded of the excitement I felt after 3.0 was released when you could play a dwarven wizard and/or paladin.

IMO your group are right - the attempt to force a monthly money-bleed is sheer cheek as far as I see it. But I'm not at all worried about 4E itself because, unless they do something very strange with it, it will neither require online access nor be required for it. It was hardly unexpected, after all.Thornir Alekeg said:I personally am not upset about 4e, but to my dismay, the rest of my old group is. They have pretty much all said they have no intention of changing from 3.5 or subscribing to D&D Insider because they just see it as a WotC money grab. Considering the virtual game table might be our best chance to regularly play again from the different states we live in, I was hoping they would be at least intrigued by the idea and open minded about looking at it when it comes.

4e made EN World damn near unusable today.
Otherwise, it's probably fine.
