Immortal Template?

I've created a homebrew Immortal template. I tested it in my last game and have some bugs to work out, and I'm testing it again in my current game. If enough people ask I'll post it here.

MGP has a Book of Immortals. Quests are for gaining additional power, wuth the lack of aging being the least of them. Main obstacle is other immortals and their agents. They hate competition. ;)

There are a lot of templates that include immortality. Most of the ones where your type changes remove penalties from aging, like elemental savant and some of the undead ones.

I was always under the impression that they had a caveat that you still died when your natural time was up. Then someone pointed out that most of them don't. If I were DM, I'd add this restriction to any template that didn't already include it.

You're thinking of the Timeless Body ability of monks and druids. It prevents the ability penalties of aging, but they still die.

As for the Elemental Savant, they become an Elemental type creature. The question is whether or not Elementals die of old age. It doesn't specifically say in the MM Types and Subtypes glossary, but since they are still [Augmented Humanoid]'s, I'd suppose that they still age as normal.

IMMORTAL TEMPLATE
All statistics remain the same.
Special Qualities: Creatures with this template cannot die of old age nor do they accrue penalties for aging (bonuses, however, are still gained).
Immunity to natural diseases (not magical ones).
+4 Fortitude save vs. Poison.

Personally, I would rule that this is a CR +0 template for a fighting-type of creature. For a spellcaster I'd make it CR +1, though it would be grudgingly given (because there is no reason not to make the creature of Venerable age).
