Anyone looking forward to this? Are some interested in the 3D rendition? It does look made to exploit that technology but The Three Musketeers did that to good effect yet failed at the box office spectacularly. Looks like the lead hes the ranger's bow from the D&D cartoons. ;)

Liking the look of the movie. Really digging that the gods are getting in on some of the action, unlike CotT. And yeah, that is Hank's energy bow alright.

I'm always interested in fantasy/mythic/medieval movies that promise epic battles. Magic and monsters are a welcome bonus. Of course, quality writing and decent acting would be nice every once in a while. *sigh* But I suppose that's asking entirely too much from a creativity bankrupt Hollywood.

I'm not overly excited about Immortals. Mostly because I still have the sour taste of the Clash of the Titans remake lingering in my mouth. And the fact that they're making a sequel to that crapfest really makes me want to stab somebody. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for Immortals to kick all kinds of ass and be the movie that CotT wasn't, delivering something truly epic, or at least passable in terms of story, writing, and acting but with a visual feast of beauty and brutally that makes me forget its other shortcomings. But I've learned better than to have those sort of hopes anymore. I've had my heart broken too many times.

Between 300 and Clash of the Titans, I'd be surprised if there were too many new visuals coming from Immortals, but I'm intrigued enough by its epicness to still want to see it tomorrow.

Saw it. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10, leaning toward 7 for the battles and stunning visuals (particularly the gods/titans battles). It's not a deep story but doesn't try to hang its hat on that either, moving along quickly and staying focused on what it is meant to be doing. It does use some of the camera tricks this type of film is known for but uses them well the majority of the time. If you're a gamer, I'd say see it. I saw it in 3D and I'm not sure that's necessary to enjoy it but it did work for me, despite being post-production 3D. It's not quite 300 but much better than Clash of the Titans. I'll try to write up a bit more later but I am keen to read what others might think too.

Let's just let this thread contain unhidden SPOILERS from here onward.

I am looking forward to this, mostly because it is from the same guy who delivered the visually stunning "The Cell" and the all-around awesome "The Fall". But from the trailers this looks like it will be more like the latter: a visually beautiful movie with plot and acting that will be mediocre at best. I most likely will turn off the audio, put on some mood music, and watch it for its effects.
