Improved monk attack

It's a desperate man who takes a WOTC Cust Serv response as gospel. :D

Well, they DO support my opinion on this ruling, so even if they do indeed have a less than stellar reputation, I obviously think that they ruled right this time.

It's a desperate man who denies even a ruling that comes from the makers of the game.

... thus the minotaur monk can improve his unarmed strike with Improved Natural Attack, where the human monk cannot.
-Hyp.

Really - wow the rules are defying all logic. The only way I would support this rule is to allow the minotar to use improved natural attack with his natural attack, but not with his monk unarmed stikes. But this postion, as reasonalbe as it is is prolly not supported directly by the rules.

You are lucky: the WotC boards have the search function down, but I can assure you that the CustServ has already replied in a different way to this question.

It's all about the way you ask them the same thing. ;)

The feat has a prerequisite of one or more natural weapon.

A human monk doesn't have any.

His unarmed strike is considered a natural weapon for the purpose of certain spells and effects,

Yes. Those would be the spells and effects that improve natural attacks, funnily enough.

, but it isn't actually a natural weapon.

I think you need to look up what "considered as" means.

Do you actually know what "considered as" means?
Just wait for Hypersmurf.

Why?

Just click here. :D

However, Hong, are you considered a Human, or are you a Human?

Hyp has always been a bit hyper when it comes to hair-splitting. It must come from all those long white clouds.

However, Hong, are you considered a Human, or are you a Human?

There are people in the world whose job it is to contemplate such deep, profound and momentous questions. They are called "philosophers". You can usually see them rooting through the charity clothing bins near your local shopping mall.

That's funny.

Now you call it "hair-splitting", and no longer "being dumb".

Consider the possibility that these are not mutually exclusive categories.

I wonder why.... ;)

But it's not coming from the makers of the game. Customer Service has nothing to do with Game Design, and no direct connection to the developers. They receive no training on rules interpretation.

Even hong has a sense of self preservation. It's harder to get away with personal attacks on moderators. :)
