Improved Natural Attack and Powerful Charge feats

Crothian

First Post
These are from Eberron.

A character with INA counts as one size larger for one of their natual attacks. Powerful charge does extra damage on a charge and the amount of damage is determined by the characters size. If I have both feats and charged using a natural attack with the INA feat, would my powerful charge feat count me as medioum size (like normal) or large since that is what the natural attack is now.

I figure it would count me as medium sized, but one never knows with these things.

That's not quite it, Crothian. Here's the feat description (in the SRD...perhaps the Eberron version is different?):

SRD-Feats said:
Benefit: Choose one of the creature’s natural attack forms. The damage for this natural weapon increases by one step, as if the creature’s size had increased by one category: 1d2, 1d3, 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d6, 3d6, 4d6, 6d6, 8d6, 12d6.
Note that the natural attack does NOT "count" as if it is one size larger. It increases the damage die of the natural attack as if the creature is one size larger. A distinction that's important.

Now, what's the text for Powerful Charge? I don't have that with me now.....I think....hmmmmm.....

Powerful charge is definitely based on your size, not your weapon. And it only applies once per round, in case that comes up (which it always does).

I'd say that INA doesn't alter the size for the purpose of Powerful Charge - Nail argued it well.

The Miniatures Handbook (and perhaps some other book as well) has Greater Powerful Charge which counts you as one size larger for the amount damage Powerful Charge does.

Beware of the charging minotaur w/INA(gore), Powerful Charge and Greater Powerful Charge
