In your current D&D 3.5 game, do the players or DM use Psionics and the XPH (Expanded

Answer: 1)

We have both two psionic PCs as well as several psionic NPCs. It worked pretty well, other than a misunderstanding regarding temporal accelaration and energy current, which is our fault, and no strike against the rules.

1. In most of the games I play in (FR, Eberron, Kalamar) there's actually only one player who has bothered to play a psionic character (psychic warrior).

5. In the two campaigns I run. Both are set on Mystara which being BD&D based didn't have psionics and personally I don't feel the need to add them.

1.

I've always liked psionics, going back to original AD&D, but my current group are all fairly newer gamers, so were leery of psionics. In order to introduce them to the XPH material, I allowed a variant of the 'gestalt characters' from UA, with the idea that they had to pick a psionic class for one of the gestalt levels every time they raised in experience; my group ended up loving the system as it were, and now they prefer psi over magic.

On a side note: I won;t ever use gestalt again (gestalt epic-level . . . CRAZY stuff!!).

Late.

1-ish.

The two front-line fighters in my Eberron campaign are soulknives. I have fond memories of the goofy fun on 1E psionics, skipped 2E, loved 3.0 psionics despite MAD, and think that 2.5 has really got them running spectacularly now. This is my first time as a DM, so I restricted XPH classes to the Soulknife only (at least at first), so that I wasn't *too* overwhelmed.

A warforged soulknife with Adamantine Body is a *beast* of a tank at low levels, especially when backed up by an artificer with Personal Weapon Augmentation: Bane, a crossbow, and very good die rolls. The Lord of Blades and the Order of the Emerald Claw will both be pouring a great amount of resources at neutralizing this new threat...

No, not as written in the XPH. We throughly believe that the Sorcerer Class was created as a weird magic catch all, including psionics.
