Indiana Jones-ish campaign

The TSR game is largely unplayable as written and captures nothing but Pure Frustration. Definitely one of TSR's notable total misses in game design. The World of Indiana Jones is much better, though being a Masterbook game seemed to doom it to obscurity (It was not a D6 System game. If it had been, I suspect that it would have fared much better.)

Actually, what it sounds like you are looking for is Blood and Relics (a d20 M product) from Charles Rice plus some era appropriate materials.

If it were me (and I have run something very similar) I would start with d20 Modern, add in a lot of Thrilling Tales, Hot Pursuit, Adamant's Stunt system, and to that I would add Imperial Age Magick's 2nd or 3rd Practice using the 2nd Price (but I wrote that so it could just be me.)
