Infinite HPS?

Force0

First Post
Take a psion able to cast mind switch, a con boosting item (the higher the better) and a slave or someone that you don't mind killing. Now put the item on you, mind switch into the other body, switch the item on you again, repeat.
Now you see my problem, with the other guy being a psion that has body fuel would be better because he would not die, but it's the same resoning.
Anything I'm missing?

Psions dont "cast"?

if you really want an answer to your question, i would suggest posting it on the Wizards Psionics Boards here

probably put "Mindswitch" in the title of the post, and look for a guy called AntiDjinn, he's really good at this stuff.

They don't cast, but they sure manifest! And telepaths got dominate on their power list (less domination lvl 3, have to speak the same language to dominate medium or smaller...)

Mind switch has nothing to do with a willing target. It's like Magic jar, except without any jars. You can say to accept the spell as it will benifit him (Not against his nature to accept good spells.)
Beside all that, it works? A psion could have, not infinite, but LOTS of HPs this way?

I'm not familiar with psionics but I know magic jar.

And I don't get it..
I think the idea is that you keep your hit points when transferring.

Say you're a 10th-level character. You put on a +2 Con item, and gain 10 hit points from your increased Con modifier. You then swap bodies with someone, and your hit points go with you. Then you take the Con item off your old body, put it on your new body, and supposedly gain another 10 hit points.

If this is what's being proposed, it's a clever idea but no sane DM would allow it. I'd simply rule that when you leave the body with the Con item, the magic is no longer in effect, and your hit points drop back to your normal total.

Nope.

You have to adjust your HP when your constitution score changes. If you're an 18 Con Psion and Mind Switch into a 12 Con Wizard, you lose 3 hp / level.

This probably could stand to be clarified in the rulebook.

Anyway, it should be important to remember that, if you think you see a loophole in the d20 rules (i.e, a way to get bonuses without paying for them), you're missing an assumption or inference.
