Influencing NPCs in 3.5 versus 3.0

First Post
Recently I finally decided to get set of D&D 3.5. Overall, the books are okay, but I did notice a little thing I am really not pleased with: NPCs Attitude, the two tables disappeared in 3.5 !! Now it's only at the DM's whim. Well, I can understand that, but there are times when these tables are really useful when you don't know what to do and don't want to think about it. It's a shame these tables didn't make it into 3.5. It seems that 3.5 is not only an improvment when compared to 3.0. Finally I think I will have to keep my 3.0 books instead of selling on ebay as I intended to do in the first place.

Are you sure the tables are 100% gone?

I use the 3.5 DM Screen from Dragon Magazine, and it includes the Influencing NPCs table on the lower right hand side of the second fold, which implies to me at least that the table is somewhere in one of the core books.

Thanks for the info. Okay, I can now sell my 3.0 books. I just got the urge to look at that NPC influencing stuff, as i bought a set of "Emotion-Dice", and wanted to know how to use them in my next campaign. Since the Hostile-Friendly attitudes are basically implemented by the DM, it will be easy to use them. I think my players will enjoy them (they will probably enjoy the Cheat-Dice much less). :)
