Currently, I am DMing a FR campaign down in the Vilhon Reach, specifically in Hlondeth, the City of Serpents. The party consists of:

  • Gold Dwarf Knight 4, weilding a Shield and Urgrosh
  • Earth Genasi Pugilist (custom class) 4 using his fists of d0Om!
  • Air Genasi Ranger 4 who uses his bow to great effect.
  • Human Favoured Soul 4 of Kelemvor who is using a Bastard Sword and Shield
  • Halfling Rogue 4 [just added to party, unsure of equip; likely shortbow specialist, or swort swords]
  • Gray Elven Aristocrat (custom-made alt-rogue class) 1/Enchanter 3 (using some of Unearthed Arcana's varient specialty wizard varients.

We've been playing since September, but are in an off season right now, so to speak. Hope to continue on starting February 17th!

cheers,

barbarian/psychic-warrior half-giant, wielding a large longbow and greatsword (Azura). The rest of the party is made up of a human paladin (Roland), an elf paladin (Rameor), a female human cleric (specializing in healing), and a human fighter/psion (egoist).

Meeting once per month.

I'm also playing an aasimir favored soul on a PbP, and DMing another group. But the above is my main PC right now.

Currently on a break from DMing and playing two PCs:

The first is a rebuild from my first PC ever:
Grayalyn “Grayl” Stormborn [Half-elf (Human with elf features) Battle Sorcerer 1 (from UA), Feats: Precocious Apprentice [bonus spell: Acid Arrow] (p. 181 CA); Acid Splatter (p. 37, CM), CN ]: Grayl is the son of a pair of adventurers, a male human fighter and a female elf sorcerer, whose parents were killed while adventuring when he was a small child. Due to the unsanctioned nature of their relationship and his unfortunate tendency to favor his human side, his mother’s elven enclave, a mageocracy ruled by his grandmother, rejected Grayl. Raised by a series of his parents' adventuring associates, Grayl had a wild and unsettled childhood although quickly demonstrated some of both his father’s abilities with the longsword and his mother’s talent for magic. Today Grayl is a charismatic but rootless young man with jet black hair, acid green eyes, a cutting smile and a slightly elven cast to his features. Filled with wanderlust and a need to prove himself to those who raised him, to his elven kin, and mostly to himself Grayl has taken up his parents’ path and seeks adventure. Gray favors the sword, using his magic (particularly his acid splatter spittal) to suprise his opponents.

Theresh Ahng [Desert Half-Orc (UA) Cleric of Ganesha the Remover of Obstacles; Domains: Travel and Destruction; Feats: Run (racial bonus feat), Track NG]: Ahng (Theresh is his clan designation) was raised among a mixed tribe of orcs, humans, and half orcs in the Far Wastes. At an early age his parents sold him, a common practice in the wastes, to a traveling cleric of Ganesha known simply as Walker. His life was actually much better with the cleric, although he missed his family he had more food and water, learned to read and write, and got to see much of the world. Walker recently pronounced that he had trained sufficiently to advance from Acolyte to Cleric. His final challenge, he was told, was to go out into the world, to walk and to remove barriers, something he does with a great degree of joy. From a distance Ahng looks like a somewhat short and stocky human with coppery skin, but upon closer inspection his ears, solid black eyes, and slightly protruding jaw betray his orcish heritage. Although some approach him with some initial prejudices because of that, they soon find that Ahng is a clever and winsome fellow always ready to help a friend, or potential friend, with a problem. Ahng wears chain mail and carries a heavy steel shield emblazoned with Ganesha. He carries a Mace that he calls Gatecrasher.

Also in the party are a Female Human Battle Dancer and a Male Halfling Scout (subing some skills in exchange for Open Lock).

The game I run, currently on hiatus, is set in Ptolus. You can read all about it, and the characters, at Delver's Square.

Current group started as warlock, warlock, wu-jen, paladin
Group is now (due to deaths and retirement)
warlock, cleric, barb/swordsage, ranger.

In RHoD, part I.

So, after a long break I getting time agian RPG, what I was wondering is....What arre you all playing?

What is your class, race, weapon of choice currently? Whats the party make-up?

Running X1 with Expert D&D:
  • Kram: 5th level dwarven follower of Gorm with bow, sword, & plate-mail.
  • Mozilac: 6th level cleric of Bacchus (or Dionysus--I forget) with sling, mace(?), & plate-mail.
  • Lia: 4th level elf with bow, sword, & plate-mail.
For those unversed with Expert, the dwarf class is basically a fighter & the elf class is a fighter/wizard. I can't really remember if the cleric carries a mace or something else.

I play two characters that could be described as complete opposites in many ways.

LG Male Gold Dwarf (+Aasimar Template) Sonnlinar (Cleric of Moradin) 14. Encased in a heavy plate, wielding a greathammer to crush his foes - when he's not busy healing other party members. Unlike many other dwarves, this one is comfortable trading words instead of blows, likes arcane magic and doesn't suffer from agoraphobia if the ceiling is more than 1 foot away from his body.

CE Male Drow Swordsage 18. Using Shadowhand and Desertwind techniques and wielding an elven courtblade he doesn't strike hard, but he knows exactly where to strike. Usually in a jolly good mood, he doesn't care for all the powermongering his race seems to like so much. He knows that real power doesn't come from terrorizing as many minions as possible, but form within. And to get this inner power, you have to face worthy challanges. That's why even though he's no good at lying - and knows it - he often tries to bluff his way through situations - chances are that others will see through his ruse, will get angry and violent - and lots of sanguine entertainment ensues.
