Insight bonus cost

Do you have any idea how silly a 10 million gp price is?

Let's say I go nuts. If I buy an item that adds a +5 circumstance bonus to attacks, a +5 competence bonus to attacks, a +5 competence bonus to saves, a +5 deflection bonus to AC, a +5 haste bonus to AC, a +5 insight bonus to attacks, a +5 insight bonus to AC, a +5 insight bonus to saves, a +5 luck bonus to attacks, a +5 luck bonus to damage, a +5 luck bonus to AC, a +5 luck bonus to saves, a +5 morale bonus to attacks, a +5 morale bonus to damage, a +5 morale bonus to saves, a +5 natural armor bonus to AC, a +5 sacred bonus to AC, a +5 sacred bonus to saves I spend 2,062,500 gp.

10 million gp is a ludicrous price.

BTW: Ignoring the Epic rules, an item that adds +20 to an ability score costs 20^2 * 1000 gp, or 400,000 gp.

A True Strike spell grants a +20 insight bonus to hit for one attack only. Say we make it a use activated spell:

spell level x caster level x 2,000gp
1 x 18 x 2,000gp= 36,000

Don't forget to multiply by the "Use/day multiplier". That item you metioned above would be usable 5 times/day. for 50 times a day, 360,000 gold. And you will probably have to enchant a weapon with it as opposed to a "wonderous object" (you need to specifically USE the item for it to go off). Because of that, and because of different rules on placing enchantments on weapons, it could cost alot more.

+10 to attacks means +20 to str or +20 to dex.

An item that gives +20 to str (or to dex) would cost (corrected)

20^2X1000 or 400,000gp

Believe it or not, a +10 insight to-hit is MORE powerful than a +20 to str (+10 to-hit and +10 to damage). Unfortunately, debating THAT may take another whole thread, so I wont.

Do you know how silly a +10 universal insight bonus to-hit is?

A +5 ring of Protection to AC costs 50,000 gps

You can make a single item that gives:
+1 deflection to AC (2,000 gp)
+1 natural to AC (2,000 gp)
+1 morale to AC (2,500 gp)
+1 luck to AC (2,500 gp)
+1 armor to AC (1,000 gp)
+1 insight to AC (2,500 gp)
+1 profane to AC (2,500 gp)

This item gives +7 to AC for only 27,500 gold. More protection for less money. Why-o-why would someone be stupid enough to buy a +5 Ring of Protection? The answer should be obvious...

+5 longsword ---> costs 50,000 gps
+6 longsword ---> costs 720,000 gps

At first it sounds ludricous, but like some jokes, I guess you just gotta be there to appreciate it (meaning: play in an epic level campaign). ;)
