INT increases/decreases and Skill Points...

Headband of Intellect

Actually page 145 only seems to be saying that a Headband of Intellect worn for only a short or partial time during a previous level would not give you more skill points.

It seems to intimate that if you had a Headband of Intellect at the beginning of the level, and wore it nearly continuously that you would get the bonus skill points.

These would never go away even if you removed it as during the *learning process* of the previous level you had an intelligence that much higher and were thus able to absorb more.

I decided the rules on this point were Screwy, and went with the simple solution:

- Lasting bonuses to Int cause a retroactive change in skill points and languages, just like Con. ("Lasting" bonuses meaning level bonuses or inherent bonuses gained from Wishes and Tomes.)

- Magic items that boost Int never affect skill points.

When the rules cause a headache, slash the rules. :)
