Pathfinder 1E INTEREST/RECRUIT - TIDERULER - THE FALL OF LAHOLT (HIGH-LEVEL CHARS)

LOL Sorry! I didn't have a huge history in my head for Daxio, just some talking points. I was more concerned with getting a high level character right at the time. What I gave above is essentially it. Low noble background, working his way up in Laholt, trying to make himself "indispensable" to someone important, working as a kind of "fixer" to get things done for powerful, influential people.

No worries. It's not like Zyara has much of a history. I was just wondering what everyone was play and wasn't expecting to have to read the OOC thread to find out. But I ended up doing that anyway. :)

I'm not sure where in Laholt we're going to be but Zyara could easily have wandered into that city in the past few days/weeks.

This world is coming up pretty solid between this game and Maran's. Sorry again for the lack of info. I'll be more careful from now on! :) Love the characters! Some interesting concoctions here!

Also, Neurotic, remember that I mentioned mythic rules at the beginning of Maran's? Well... Wait and see, hehehe!

As for our current project, plenty of ideas! Characters are very inspiring! I'll send a few questions to you guys by night (I want to get some info from the characters before we begin).

Later!

Ok, so I've reviewed the sheets and we have a clear link between Moss and the Oracle. I also have already prepared a premise (surrounding the same quest giver), a more orthodox way to begin. I'm aiming for simplicity at the start this time. As I told you guys at the other thread, there are a few things I think should be more direct on my part, specially considering how structured the characters are. :) Would you guys agree with that?
KahlessNestor, I need a bit on Daxio's BG, just to get me started. Shayuri, likewise! :)
Neurotic, I have a good dimension of Moss thus far. Just can't find an alignment, though!
jmucchiello, I got a pretty good idea of your character. Just give me a description of how you'd interpret the LN of her alignment, please! :)

Also, just for representation purposes, how would each of you define your character? For example, I can see that Moss is a small dragon and I can see how the classes fit around it. I get a pretty good idea from the other characters as well, but I'd like to check that with your own points of view, so I don't commit any interpretational mistakes. :)

As for mini-sheets, you can use what makes it more comfortable to each of you. I'm ok with the shorter version, though, now that I've had my time with the sheets. Also, when I return home I'll print your sheets and have them on a folder - as with the other games. From then on I can access them easily.

Aside from that, two CGs and one LN.

Well, Monks have to be lawful. Lawful neutral is the standard for "the good of the many over the good of the few". Zyara isn't beholden to any particular country's laws. But ultimately prefers order to chaos. Case in point, she's a monk but she travels alone rather than living in a monastery. She travels about helping people although sometimes the smaller group gets shafted by her help and that doesn't bother her. This philosophy can also get her in trouble in political arenas. If a feudal lord whose peasants are starving seeks her help, she might lead a rebellion against him. The group in the aggregate should not be starving. OTOH, if there is just one starving person she won't change the world to feed him. She'll just teach him to fish. :)

Neutral good for me. Sorry it's taking me a little while. I'm having to very carefully extricate this character from Shayuri, my draconic sorceror, because it turns out Dragon Mystery Oracles have a lot of thematic content in common. :)

I'll try to get something useful out today.

Neurotic, I have a good dimension of Moss thus far. Just can't find an alignment, though!

Aside from that, two CGs and one LN.

Sorry about that, he started as LE (green dragon) and grew up slowly into LN and advanced to LG (he revers NG Apsu, god of dragons) - I generally don't prefer LG, but I don't see how traditions of is people and ordered society building could be anything else :) But with neutral streak needed to survive (his tribe above other kobolds, above human settlement (but may think about the population sizes before deciding). His own tribe is his weakness, he will come running if he hears anything happening to them and will have no trouble telling the humans off if he thinks they are endangering Thunderscales.

He sees himself as the saviour of his people and Queens legacy of cooperation with mammals of the continent. He will be withdrawn with humans as most react either with fear, discomfort or aggressiveness. In turn, he remains calm and answers politely. Until someone steps over the line and gets intimidated in turn. He will always try to find peaceful solution with humanoids of all kinds (htey are all the same, shapes and colors doesn't mean much to kobold whos tribe is green, next one is red and each looks different.

The exceptions are drow and their slaves and demons which he attacks on sight - in polite society he will excuse himself obviously agitated and will be hard to trust anything those who deal with have to say.

No worries, Shayuri! I owed you guys a response for a few days, now! That's why I decided to work it now. Plus my gal got down with the flu and I'm tending to her, and as she sleeps I get a few idle hours. Take your time!

No worries as well, Neurotic! I'm thinking about incorporating the aspect of the Queen and the dragon's return to the plot, really.

Okay, so a bit on Daxio.

He comes from minor nobility. He's like a third son, so he's kind of screwed. First gets all the money and property, second son goes to the church. Third son, well, get in good with the first son, or make your own way in the world. He's not in good with his brother.

Daxio chose the route of magic to make his mark on Laholt. He's always been a charming fellow, a womanizer, the opposite of his dour, competent, practical brother. He currently works as a fixer for the Laholt nobility (and anyone else who can pay). Think of the lady from Person of Interest. You need a mess cleaned up, Daxio can help you. But he's a middle man. He doesn't get his hands dirty. But he's always got his fingers on various strings, calling in a favor here to fix something there to get a favor owed in return that he can use elsewhere when needed. He also functions as an advisor, often behind the scenes. His ultimate goal would be to become some kind of power behind a throne. He's rather self-interested, but he's Chaotic Good because, while he's good at politics, he's not quite cut throat enough for court intrigue.

Shayuri, one nitpick at your background. Traditionally, elven, draconic, infernal and other languages of long lived races don't have "ancient" dialect, not unless literally thousands of years passed. It's Moss' common that is archaic, but draconic could (should?) be (mostly) unchanged. Same with elven language. It's hard to change the language when the being in question can be half a millennium older than his conversation partner. This ofcourse depends on how long did Moss 'sleep'.
Archon Basileus, how long ago did dragons disappear? How long after that did The Queen last?
