Internet Explorer 6.0 text size

Enforcer

Explorer
So, I prefer my screen resolution to be set at 1600x1200, but this makes the text size on most webpages too small. So naturally I set the text size in IE 6 to largest. But, for some reason it will reset to medium sometimes. I don't know if this is because of certain websites or what, but can someone please tell me if there's a way to keep my browser's text size at Largest permanently?

I have Windows XP Home edition, if that makes any difference. And no, I'm not switching to Netscape.

Some webpages will force a constant textsize without asking the browser first, I don't think you can do anything about that sorry. Master the [shift]+scrollwheel trick, it might help you sometimes.

Shift+scrollwheel seems to make my browser go back and forward through webpages...

Edit: But CTRL+scrollwheel does the trick. Thanks!

Resetting completely, or just for certain sites? If it's the later, you're probably seeing the most common mis-implementation of web standards that is wrong with Explorer. If a page is designed a certain way, Explorer will ignore your text setting. Not much you can do about it...it shouldn't do this, but it does.

If it's much of a problem, you may try other browsers. Mozilla comes to mind...

If it's actually resetting your text size, then I'm not sure. Can happen sometimes if the application or your computer crashes and your user data hasn't been saved.
