Invalid thread?

I had previously bookmarked and subscribed to the Tables thread that contained very useful things not in the SRD like the XP leveling table, the CR/XP table, Starting Wealth, etc. I've used this bookmark successfully in the past:

http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=860548#post860548

I think it was created and maintained by KaeYoss, but I'm not totally sure about that (and couldn't track it down by searching with his username or with keywords from the thread's title).

I also noticed that the thread had dropped off my Subscribe list, even when I went back a whole year and clicked on "View all Subscribed threads".

Was this thread specifically deleted? Or is this an error?

If the former, I won't go to the trouble of trying to recreate something similar, as I'm not trying to break any rules here. However, if it's the latter, can it be "fixed"? It was very useful to me and several others I've spoken with when we're away from our books and can't look at that material directly in print.

Thanks.

IIRC, it's the former. Many of those tables were not open gaming content, so technically it was a violation to reproduce them. Not that anyone had griped, but part of being polite is keeping your nose clean. :)

Right! :D

Now I'm just upset I didn't copy/save the work he'd done on them before they disappeared. I should've done that and moved them into our private Yahoo group's board when I had the chance.

Bummer! :(

It was specifically deleted for the reasons Umbran mentioned; unfortunately, reproducing that stuff was a big no-no. You may want to email KaeYoss, who probably still has a copy.

I had placed a thread here in meta when I deleted it, but not everyone saw it. :)

That's good enough for me. And thanks for taking the time to post in here about it (even though I missed it). That was very considerate!

I think I will try to mail KaeYoss and see if I can't get a hold of it.

Thanks again.

I had linked the Thread in my sig as well (since I had contributed). I asked in the Meta thread mentions if it would be OK to link (in my sig) a non-ENWorld site that contained some of the information that was in the deleted thread, and I didn't get an answer.

Well, I linked it in my sig, so it's still available. If there is a problem, please contact me.

AR, it's technically a problem. That's information which is fine for personal use (assuming you own the DMG) but which WotC wouldn't want on a web site since it isn't part of the SRD. I won't tell you what to do with your personal web site, but I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't link to it in your sig.

Thanks, and extra thanks for being up front about this. It's appreciated.

Darn. And I only wanted to be helpful. :)

I understand your concerns, which probably expand to being the concerns of ENWorld in general. I really love this place, and would hate if it got into any kind of problem because of me.

I'll remove the link in my sig.
