Invisibility -- In-Game Explanation for No Attacking?

Errr...

...in that very specific situation, I´d turn around and sock the Court Wizard or anybody else who touched me just prior before I was turning invisible...with the exception of him/her being of the Royal familiy. If I´m being arrested afterwards for that, I can defend myself well enough with stating that I was attacked with magic and only defended myself.

Remember...you have to be touched to be turned invisible.

Of course, this should not be an issue of great importance.
But it is certainly interesting that you cannot just decide to become visible if someone had turned you invisible (even harder with Improved Invisibility).

This could - in some special situations - make turning foes in combat invisible (improved) useful for you.
On you: Improved Invisibility, See Invisible
On the foes: Improved Invisibility
The foes can organize very poorly, since they cannot see each other. Pretty expensive, but inventive.

Well, there's always the Reach Spell feat or whatever its called from Defenders of the Faith; any touch attack can be given from up to 30 feet away.

Ooooh. I just got ugly ideas for a campaign.

... The little spirit explanation is somewhat more working, even if I don't see how a spirit would react at each and every casting of the spell in exactly the same way...

They're kinda stupid with extremely short memories.

(This is actually LotFiveR canon.)

Just shout "By the gods, I can't see myself! Some witch erased my body (or just say turned me invisible, depending on how much normal people, and your current identity)! Help!" Then you flail aroun, run into things that fragile and would make lots of noise, or get tangled up in tapestry or something. Act like someone in a blind panic. It may be embarrassing later, but it's better than getting wasted by elite soldiers who can see you and who think your an assassin.

Is it always the same spirit, or do you get a new one every time you cast the spell?
Anyway, if it can tell the difference between smashing a chair and smashing an animated chair, it's smart enough.

......It's the subconscious dangerreaction (The spell only affects the surface of your mind) directed toward the invisibilityspells focus that disrupts it's sensory manipulation and causes it to short-circuit?

Just made that up :D

Added: As an answer to why the invisibilityspell ends when you attack somebody
