[SBLOCK=OOC]I have an idea on how the device could work:
You have a device that work like that:

Boost [Shrinking and Morph] 8 [4pp/rank + 2 pp = 26pp]
extra: Total Fades
power feat: Slow Fade 2

With that, you have a power that can maintain Morph and Shrinking at power level 4 (in other word, cancel Carrion's Growth and giving him +20 disguise) for 1 hour (I rounded it for ease bookkeeping).

This device is on a battery with 80 energy point (Or any other amount you wish). The boost ask 8 Energy points on each use. Which mean, the battery can sustain boost for 10 hours. Cedric can feed the battery with his power. For every whole hour he sustain Electricity Control target on the battery, the battery recharge an amount equal to the rank at which it has been use. (Which would probably means 2 where I can't drain electricity, 10 where I can). If CPU use his array during that hour, the battery doesn't recharge.

Now, if CPU want to create a battery backup, he could create a battery that gives 10 Energy Point per PP spend on that device.

Finally, if you wish, CPU could also draw from that battery. Each use of his electricty control he use would cost the battery a number of energy point equal to the number of rank his flaw is applied. (Example, a Blast at rank 2 would cost 0 Energy point, at rank 10, it would cost 8.) You could also not allow it at all. The latest would be simplier, the first would be more close to the concept of CPU.

If it is all too complicated, you can also just do as you mind too ;) [/SBLOCK]

[SBLOCK=Velmont]Wow, that's awfully complicated and uses a lot of nonstandard stuff (plus the shrinking ability is not actually quite that strong--it can get him out of size Large, but not cancel all 4 ranks of the Growth, and you can't take it with you).

Here's my plan:

Shrinking Ray, which they are not going to let you bring anyway, is fired on Carrion right away just before he leaves. It should hold him over for the flight, hopefully.

Morph is an actual transmutation, so we're using Illusion for the Waveform Generator.

The Waveform Generator becomes an actual Device in CPU's possession temporarily, and it temporarily replaces one of his alternate powers for Electricity Control of your choice. It creates a Visual effect only in a 100 ft radius, maintainable as a Free Action, even interactive Visual effects. It requires a power source (which CPU will then use his mutant powers to transform the energy and interface with the machine as if using the normal power source).

The last thing you get is a temporary Invention to hold backup power for an emergency for any of CPU's powers, including the new device. It can allow him to use his powers as if he was near a power source, but it has a chance of breaking or running out of power. It can't be recharged (unless you spend the full creation time again to make it again).
[/SBLOCK]

[SBLOCK=RA]Ok, it is a bit complicated, but it is essentially Absorption power with a few Limited flaw. I would tell it is almost 100% rule proof, but I tweek it to have it simplier. Take a look at Absorption power, and you'll see you have you need to create that device.

Making morph a sensory (Illusion) effect rather a Alteration effect is just some fluff and change nothing to the crunch of the thing.

Also, you don't need to follow strict rules. You just have to make it a plot device (p.130) and state how it work.

Finally, if I feed it the device with one power in my array, it means I can't use my whole array. I really don't mind about that.[/SBLOCK]

[SBLOCK=Velmont]The whole system of charging it up just seems clunky, though, and allowing the battery that reliably lasts more than one encounter is beyond the scope of the Inventor feat. The only reason the Device lasts longer is because it's a legitimate captured Device.

Also, I know you are going to be feeding it and using your array, but it's important that you actually lose access to one array power while you gain this Device (in game terms, the reaction with attaching you to it caused this), so that you don't essentially gain a free Alternate Power feat for the waveform device.

As to the Morph, that isn't what the captured Device does, though. It doesn't Morph people, it generates and modifies waveforms. Is it allowable to just forget the waveform device and make something that does Morph with the inventor feat as you suggested with the weird charging rules? Yes, but as per the Inventor feat, it will break and become inoperative after a short use. Plus it would take too long to make it--the plane would leave by then.

"So, are we starting in Kurtalan, Turkey, or does our flight take us somewhere else. And if we are keeping our involvement secret are we supposed to not use our powers?", gremlin asks, hoping to get to the nuts and bolts of what the group is doing.

[SBLOCK=RA]Fine... your the master ;)

I'll let down my nullify electrical object power in my array, as Gremlin is able to do it anyway.

I want to know, is the illusion power can be use on another person than Carrion. If it is yes, I suppose it is only one target at a time.[/SBLOCK]

"Kurtalan doesn't have an airport. Your flight arrives in Ankara, so if you want to go to Kurtalan, you may have a while to go. We rented you a van though, and it's big enough for Carrion to squish in. Does anyone know how to drive stick?"

"As for powers, don't use them in the open until after you've found the terrorists. The idea is to not let them know you're there ahead of time. Once you've found them, of course, don't hold back."

[SBLOCK=Velmont]You can use it on everything in 100 feet at the same time, including Carrion and any others. It modifies the waveform of outgoing light waves to indicate what you want it to indicate for the 100 foot radius around you, including interactive illusions of things that aren't even there. You can even use Extra Effort on it to get something like Invisibility out of it.[/SBLOCK]
