Ionian Dreams (Bront Judging)

(OOC: Hahahaha, that explains why it stalled and didn't get any more details when CPU tried to ask Highbrow for help! :D)

*The group heads toward Kurtalan, where Highbrow hopes to collect enough data to perform constraint propagation to a reasonable level in order to analyse the possibilities. Meanwhile, in order not to be too frequent and get caught but also not too slow and miss something or overflow the system, CPU or Highbrow checks the proxy server once an hour, using the language specifications and search filters upon which they agreed.*

*After a long drive and a few bathroom breaks along the way, they make it to Kurtalan, and they see the crumbled remains of the building, though much of the worst of the debris has been moved to stop the obstruction of traffic and save those that could be found trapped underneath who were not yet dead.*

*Highbrow--and the others in the van as well--head to the scene to check for clues. Highbrow looks through the ruins, enlisting the help of those who are stronger, searching for clues. After a little while, he finds something that he was looking for--The bullet shell from the snipers that had been mentioned. From the look of the markings as well as the consistency, shape, and chemical makeup, the bullet appears to belong to a sniper rifle of Iranian make.*

OOC: Okay to recap; this attack was in Downtown Kurtalan, using explosives and snipers. The second attack can be ANYwhere in Turkey, not just Kurtalan. We found an Iranian bullet.

What exactly was this place? Why would it be a target?
Can we tell what type of explosives, what was the delivery method?
What Terrorist organizations have this MO? Which ones are supplied by the Iranian military?

Also once Highbrow gains more intel I will try narrow a list of likely targets. Once I have a list I would like to use to use a combo of Skills and Precognition (his Precog is more "predicting" likely outcomes a la Mad Thinker) to try calculate the most likely target. (I dont want it to be a plotbreaker though as I know precog can!)

(OOC: Recap is correct)

[SBLOCK=Highbrow]*The building was a bureaucratic government administration office for the local area. It could be a target for being the tallest and most populated building there, for being a government building, or both. Highbrow is perplexed that he finds no residue that would give a clue as to the type of explosives upon performing chemical analysis on the debris. There are a large number of extant terrorist organisations with this MO. Cross-referencing the region with the MO and Iranian support yields a list at which the most likely possibility seems to be the PKK, which has been involved in pretty much every kind of terrorist activity from assassination to human trafficking to bombing attack on government and civilian targets. If that's the case, of course, then CPU has been ignoring the correct language group to tap in on cell phone conversations--considering his clearly inferior intellect, this is no surprise. In fact, the cretin thinks that the language is just a dialect, whereas Highbrow knows all the dialects and where they are spoken.*[/SBLOCK]

Highbrow stood staring at the bullet for long moments. The only movement he exhibited was an occasional slight facial tick, which was...disturbing at best.

"I believe the organization behind this is called the PKK. Since the target may be anywhere in this Country, there are to many variables to accurately calculate thier target currently. Since I can no residue from the explosion nor evidence of its delivery method I surmise either this is a new, as yet unheard of explosive...Or thier is metahuman involvement. Due to the X-Factor when Metahumans are involved is making he calaculations somewhat....erratic."
Something akin to irritation marred Highbrow's normally stoic visage. He then turned to CPU. "We have to alter the parameters of the electronic surveillance." he then provides the new parameters to CPU via the link.

*No sooner do they alter the parameters and check out the new initial results but Highbrow immediately notices a suspicious-looking call "Everyone, get in your places. We strike when the muezzin calls to prayer so more people will be facing this way". CPU is able to rout it back to the initial reception tower of the call, which is located in Artvin up north.*

OOC: Yes, once per hour. I suggest Highbrow to check the data. His mental quickness will allow him to pass through it quickly.

RA, can you add to your thread name, the judge who is judging that adventure please.

Reviewing the call Highbrow looked grim. But Highbrow always looked that way.

"We need to get to Artvin as quickly as possible. They are set to strike when the muezzin calls out the adhan to the mosque from his minaret ."

OOC: we have any idea where this would be and when? Knowledge Religion is a +11 I believe. I also use datalink to try to find directions idf possible and Time Sense to keep a countdown. Also which way would they face?

(OOC: Basically due north. There's approximately 46 minutes and 32 seconds until the call. You get the road directions there, and it seems to be a little over 200 miles away, longer along the roads as they aren't straight.)

Can we make it in time? We might have to send the fliers in ahead of the rest of us if not., Gremlin suggest

OOC: I'm assuming he meant east.
