Can we make it in time? We might have to send the fliers in ahead of the rest of us if not., Gremlin suggest

OOC: I'm assuming he meant east.
(OOC: They face southeast, yes. North is the answer to where the city of Artvin is)

OOC: What time it is? Prayer are generally before sunrise, just after sunrise, around noon, around 2 o'clock and at sunset... except during the night, there is only a few hour between prayers, and we have to travel 200 miles, which might be hard to do. I don't know the quality of the level of corruption of the country, but it is not evreywhere in the world you can easily travel at 60 miles per hours during many hours without having to stop...

Also, are we all together or split in two group... sorry, after reading all that, I am a bit confuse.

(OOC: According to Highbrow's calculations of the sun's angle with respect to the horizon mark and its zenith, there should be approximately 46 minutes and 32 seconds until sunset. Not enough time to drive over 200 miles by a long shot. You are all together.)

"Griff, have you ever carried a car while flying?" He looks at Carrion. "Because it is time to try. We have 46 minutes to travel 200 miles in straight line, do you think you can travel that in 30 minutes? I,ll take the trouble to hide us. I think I can push that device to hide us from sight."

(OOC: You can indeed use extra effort to make the waveform device grant invisibility, but I'm not sure it could last that long--the book says 'the end of the encounter or until you stop maintaining it, whichever comes first'. Also, Griff can fly at 250 miles per hour.)

[SBLOCK=OOC]The time of an encounter is not something determine. An encounter can be as short as a few minutes (a combat) or many hours (a dinner could be an encounter for example). So, that would be more up to you. If I was the master (you don,t have to gives teh same judging if you don't like that, it's your adventure), I would allow the invisibility, but ti would end as soon as the group arrive at destination. If Griff decide to use extra effort to arrive in time (250 miles per hour, we will be too late, it would take 48 mintes to reach teh destination...) it would be the same, he could fly at 1000 miles per hours for the distance, but once he put the car on the ground, he would need another extra effort to continue to use it after that.[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: Well, I was about to say I thought the invisibility thing might possibly be fair until I read your second example--allowing extra effort to increase speed by x4 for an extended period is an abusive circumvention of the rules for the "Move All Out" action--both "Move All Out" and Extra Effort cause fatigue, after all, and "Move All Out" only works for 3.4 minutes + as long as he can make the Con checks at x2 the normal double-move speed, so 500 miles an hour

I'll allow the invisibility to last that whole time if you drain that special battery you've been saving--this seems like a fair use of that)

"Oh yeah dude. I could carry the car and fly easily. Not sure about getting 200 miles there. It'll be tough, but I'll try.

OOC: GM, I still have that intial point left from adding that disadvantage to Quickness as you suggested. I can always put that into fly which will boost Griff's speed up to 500 mph.

(OOC: You could do that--I didn't know you had a floating point still, thought you were approved. In the interest of fairness (not that you would, but at this point you could add the point to Immunity to a very very specific X, where X is what one of the BBEGs uses) let's say that you have to assign that point this evening when your character is resting for the night. Also, anyone except Griff who hasn't spent all their points can't spend them until the adventure is over--I want to be more lenient with Griff because he hasn't gotten his initial 150 yet)

OOC: I'll do flight. So I can't use it now, but later on in the day?
