Ionian Dreams (Bront Judging)

Gremlin will try to take out the sniper's rifles. If he is successful he will try to get to the easiest man to reach and take him prisoner.

OOC: All this action comes at a bad time for me. I am trying to finish a deadline at work tonight ( a rare post from the work computer), and we just had a fire pop up today on the next forest over. It is expected to spread to us by tomorrow, in which case I'll likely be drafted to help with the effort. I might not be around too much until after the weekend. Any of the players or the GM can NPC Gremlin if I'm indisposed. He will want to try and stop the snipers since that will protect the most civillians (rather than interposing for one). If he can't take out the rifles or get to the snipers (not sure how tall the buildings are that they are perched on), he'll try to protect civilians. He'll be fairly liberal with hero points also (he has 4 to begin).

(OOC: We can say CPU turned on the Force Field)

*Gremlin fires a nullifying blast at another sniper, but despite a steady aim, the sniper sees it coming and ducks, dodging the attack's effect.*

*The snipers are afraid of these newcomers, so they decide to fire on Highbrow, Gremlin, and Griff, since CPU has a big scary lightning field and Carrion is a hideous monster.*

*Griff is completely unharmed by the rifle fire. Gremlin ducks back into the van and avoids the snipers' shots. Highbrow, on the other hand, takes a shot in the chest and gasps in pain, unable to move for a moment as he collects himself.*

(OOC: He's stunned and injured. Everyone else can go.)

(OOC: Nullify is a standard, Grabbing him is a Move-Equiv, Moving is a Move Equiv. You can easily do that with Extra Effort or a Hero Point, but otherwise not quite)

Gremlin will move Highbrow to safety, and interpose for him if nessesary.

OOC: Getting in my licks while I can. :D That maneuver should be kosher, right?

(OOC: Absolutely. And since Highbrow is one of the many people who tries to skimp on paying for defense by buying tons of Dodge Focus, you probably just saved his life! He loses every last bit when stunned and has terrible Toughness Saves.)

*Gremlin, small though he may be, still is strong enough to grab Highbrow and pull him into the van where the snipers can't shoot him...hopefully. The little mutant hopes that his ally will come to his sense soon--they'll need his wits in a moment after the others have taken care of these snipers.*

Gremlin sends a message via the link to Griff. Griff, when you get chance can you swing by and get me up to the guy who shot Highbrow. I'd like to have a conversation with him. Martin, Keep helping the folks if you can. CPU, can you take out another one. We need to get these guys before anyone else gets hurt!

OOC: figured I could squeeze this in on my round.

OOC: Ha! That was a role-playing decision my friend not a point saving one. He isnt an acrobatic fellow, he calculates where attacks might hit and avoids them which spoke Dodge Focus to me not natural Dodge. He gets suprised or stunned he is screwed all part of the concept. Now the Commlink thing that was tricksey points saving! :D

Highbrow calculated the trajectory, but his computer like speed of thought did not always translate to computer like reflexes. The pain of the impact nearly took Highbrow off his feet. At the very least the breath was knocked out of him or more.

OOC: Well Highbrow has a decent defense. Given the chance I may have spent a HP using Luck Control to force him to reroll his attack. Since Highbrow is already hit I think I am going to use that HP to improve his condition somehow. I'll let Rystil decide story-wise what is most appropriate.
