(IR, Hivemind) The Humanoid Alliance request

An envoy is sent by the Oerth Alliance to the Cat Lord to learn more about Piratecat.

The Oerth Alliance redoubles its fleet building efforts. Even if the Hive Mind is not a threat, Melkor is still out there. The Living Ship program is accelerated. (OOC: I am a Farscape fan.)

(Serpenteye, good idea on the demiplane. I imagine the Taraakians have done the same long ago. If so, then I believe the Oerth Alliance has a legitimate reason to use the same tactic you are using. Also, nice use of the Dragonstar campaign motif of invaders. Again, Edena's rulings stand.)

Agent Jinn Felps and his MR task force also gather a bag of holding full of fur ball treatment medicine for Piratecat, several weapons, and surveillance equipment. They depart for their dangerous mission.

Deep within the Hivemind, something stirs...

The Hivemind is a being of utmost power. And one of it's many powers to act in an independant fashion, seperating parts of itself out to perform task and enable it to look at itself in different ways...one such part has just activated.

The being known as Tallarn awakes from the eternal self-questioning nature of the central Mind. He has been updated with information, and begins to formulate his plans. If we are being investigated, we must defend outselves.

Tallarn notes that the kender that was sent in was caught stealing without provocation. He was summarily slain for his impudence. At the time, it seemed the obvious course of action, and besides, Crothian needed to enjoy himself.

Tallarn ponders...

Deep within the Hivemind, something awakens...

Somewhere on the fringe of [Hivespace] an old power stirs, shaking off the dust of a thousand years of quiecence. Slow he is, at first, to awaken, sensing that hs time of peace is coming to an end, and regretting the changing times. He is not unaware of the realities beyond [Hivespace] but has until now dealt through agents. In recent times his emissary was sent forth, to bring enlightenment to the massing throngs of the wills that are the [Hivemind], now he himself will see to the threat that comes from beyond. He is The Monkey.

"Anyone wanna banana?"

Within the Hive, the being known as Knight Otu notes "We should attempt negotiatons first... They may have started the agressions by sending the Kender, but maybe we misunderstood. But let it be known that we have fought a crazy Pantheon (but don't tell that we lost!)."

The Monkey, Kung Fu Guru of Arboreal Mischief, states in avoice that can easily be ignored. "I rather liked the kender. He amused me. I wished to see him dance...dance...yessss. The Oozelord took him from us before the games could begin. Perhaps they shall send another?"

"It seems as though this enemy shall require much cunning and subterfuge to defeat. I suggest we make a claim of leniency and tolerance, drawing them in, and then strike when their guard is down."

"Of course, since they are monitoring our thoughts, this may be difficult. :D"

As I'm only fighting you with the divine powers of my Gnomish music, I have little to say on the matter. You cannot defeat my Gnomish powers, and if you do, it doesn't matter, we're just happy elves! Ha!
