IR?

What is IR and why is it in the General Discussion forum? As best I can tell it's some sort of diplomacy-like game...but that seems like it would in In Character or Fight Club. I tried posting in the thread but everyone seemed too busy to fill me in. I'm so confused!

IR = (Gnomish) Industrial Revolution.

It will go into IC as soon as it's ready.
