Iron/Ceremic Competitions

First Post
I would like to hammer out rules for the Iron/Ceramic Contests as I wish to set up a web-site to facilitate these games in a more tailored environment.

Here is what I have come up with on my own - what does everyone else have?

All contests require:
1 - 3 judges
8 entrants
2 alternates

All contests rules:
Entrants have 24, 48 or 72 hours to enter.
Each entry is judged by the judges
Decisions are posted once all judges have voted

Iron Contest Specifics:
6 ingredients

Ceramic Contest Specifics:
4 images

The different kinds of entries include different things:
Iron DM - Create an adventure synopsis using the ingredients - this is basically just a story with some special areas.

Ceramic DM - Create a story or adventure using the indgredients. Pretty much the same as above.

Iron PC/NPC - This one needs a stat block and some special areas. Also this one has a wierd ingredients list.

Other games I'm consiering:
Iron Town
Iron POI
Iron Spell

If anyone is interested in helping with this please email me. I would love to set up a commitee to direct this project. I think it could be great fun to have a place just for these types of games.

Nah, no stranger than Iron DM, I'd say ;) A blind Dire Ape, anyone?

Edited original post to include correction.

Not that the lists were wierd but I believe that it had Class/Race/Alignment/Level as a single ingredient and abilities as a single or something like that. In the database these would need to be split up so that they could be filled into the stat block and checked automatically for compliance. So when I make statements like that bear in mind that I am talking from a data architects perspective and not from the players/judges perspective.

Those were "Constraints", not "Ingredients". Why post explicit constraints? Because an NPC is far less implicitly constrained than a plot.

From a Data Architect perspective, I'd suggest a tag-list header format, so you aren't tempted to shoehorn all meta-data into object-data -- and calling everything in IronNPC an "Ingredient" is very bad shoehorning!

Is someone volunteering to aid in the techinical aspects of this project?

I call that place, "EN World."

Seriously, there are just too many Iron Whatsis'es these days. They don't seem as special anymore. It's like having a SuperBowl every Sunday.
