Iron Kingdoms, A worthwhile setting?

I have not yet used Warcasters - the PCs only reached 6th level before I tabled it until I finish my OGL Steampunk game.

That said, I very much like the setting - I tabled it largely to wait for the World Guide. (Ssoonn me preciousss.... sssooonnn...)

The players did not like the pain of healing one little bit, but I as DM really did - even when the corrupt cleric of Menoth ended up killing the major villain of the scenario when his Heal went awry...

The Auld Grump, that is how climactic battles always go for me - the villain butters his sword and stands on a banana peel.

Healing potions are hard to make and not so coomon in IK as well..there are numerous funky alchemical stuff though...

It's at the printers, and the buzz is March. I'm not holding my breath, PP wants it perfect.

I will pick up the world guild but PP does not have a good track record at ALL when it comes to editing etc.
But again I am very much looking forward to it, hoping that the snaffos are minimum

I hear you, Karl. The word on the PP forums is that absolutely 0 rules will be in the World book. It's all setting, with no stats/prc's/weapons/nadda. I think that will keep some of those much mentioned editing errors down to a minimum (said with fingers crossed and much faith).

An official errata has never been released, although a couple of the writers have commented that it is in the works. An unofficial errata is available here, but it is certainly not complete.
