I added it to the review database, but I haven't finished reading it yet. It is, after all, pretty freakin' massive. I've been keeping my eyes open, though -- I'm surprised someone hasn't just powered through the book in a few days so they can get the first review out.

So far, I'm really enjoying it, for what it's worth...

I still haven't finished it entirely, but I can say that so far (about 2/3 of the way through) it is hands down my favorite setting. I know, the DM's Guide isn't out yet...and won't be until winter...but I know already that even with just the player's guide that IK is the setting for me. I haven't ran a straight CS in years. (I tend to just rob for my homebrew world.) However, this setting has grabbed me and sunk it's claws in deep. It's spectactular.

Did I mention how good this book is?

I'm intending to write an IKCG review myself, and think I'm heading for a good 4/5 rating. The background and flavour parts of the book are the best, but where it falls down IMO are on a few issues such as some clunky and unbalanced rules kicking around in there, a shame considering what a tight ship Warmachine is rules-wise, and a smattering of other things that I feel would prevent me putting up a 5/5.

On the other hand, the background and setting information stuff in the IKCG is so good that without even seeing the IKWG I can feel sure that, if it builds well on what's been presented so far, I'll be giving that a 5/5.

I'm really just starting to scratch the book's surface after a few days. Granted i don't have a lot of time to devote to reading the book each day, but i am getting there. This book is huge and crammed full of stuff.

Its frickin awesome! :D
