The Marvel Multiverse RPG is getting an Avengers expansion. The solicitations mentions rules for crafting iconic weapons like Captain America's shield or Thor's hammer Mjolnir, creating a headquarters similar to Avengers Tower, and rules for battling large groups of foes.

The Avengers expansion was written by Matt Forbeck, with a cover by Paco Medina and Jesus Aburtov.

Wonderful news, but seems like those Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars books that will also duplicate content across books.
The core book is pretty good with the stats for most popular superheroes and villains. An expansion for other stuff is cool, but duplicating character stats not so much.

Sounds amazing! I recently purchased the X-Men expansion. It's a treasure trove of lore and interesting mechanics. Looking forward to the Spider-Man one too.

The stats they offer will likely not duplicate the ones in the core. This is a supplement, not another entry point like the FFG Star Wars games. I expect instead we will see different takes and different versions of the big heroes.

Browsed it and the superpowers reminded me of the ModernAGE stunt system. I'm going to hit my local comic shop to put up a flyer to get a Marvel Multiverse game started.
Good luck. I'd love to play or run myself. I'm a Marvel enthusiast from way back.

My guess is that each chapter will be a mini sourcebook for each of the main Avengers with the profiles being their villains, related heroes and significant alterate identities, For example, the Iron Man chapter will be about Stark Industries with his various armored rivals and maybe a different suit or two for him in the profile section.

They've been pretty good about not duplicating character write ups though they might run into the issue where remembering which book contained what characters gets annoying as the line expands.

I honestly thought the FF book would be next on the schedule with their big movie relaunch in July. I'm sure that will be along shortly.
