The Marvel Multiverse RPG is getting an Avengers expansion. The YouTube channel Near Mint Collection revealed that Marvel plans to release an Avengers-themed expansion for its Marvel Mutlvierse RPG while previewing Marvel's May solicitations. The new hardcover book will feature many of Marvel's most popular superheroes, such as Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, the Hulk, and Iron Man, as well as several new mechanics and rulesets. The solicitations mentions rules for crafting iconic weapons like Captain America's shield or Thor's hammer Mjolnir, creating a headquarters similar to Avengers Tower, and rules for battling large groups of foes.

The Avengers expansion was written by Matt Forbeck, with a cover by Paco Medina and Jesus Aburtov.

Marvel Multiverse RPG has released one expansion to date, focused on the X-Men. A Spider-Verse expansion is due out for release next month.

The new rulebook will have 256 pages and cost $49.99.

The gameplay loop is a lot of fun. It delivers on characters feeling like they have Superpowers. There is a lot of excitement when a "Fantastic" roll is made. Helping out other characters on your turn feels very genre-appropriate, especially when combined with Teamwork maneuvers. The action economy is very D&D which makes it easy to pick up, but it does make big bad guys go against the Conservation of Ninja law, as a single bad guy needs minions to take on a team.

I've played it in a few one-shots. Its been fun to play. We ran the first few encounters in the Kang Adventure. I really want to see an adventure specific to the X-Men and mutants. Kang is neat, but my favorite from Marvel is the X-Men.

The books are well made. Great article and awesome stats and lore for comic fans. I'm looking to collect them all.

The books are well made.
Yes they are, I’ve not read them cover to cover by any means but I was impressed with the physical quality and art. The few things I did read were good and the rosters are pretty varied. My only concern is that over the course of the line you may have to reference a number of books depending on the heroes and villains involved, Im looking at you FR Drow. I really would like a loose leaf page format similar to the 2E AD&D Monstrous Compendiums so you could build teams and add villains and minions in a folder without lugging around a ton of books. Is there any pdf/digital formats for the MMRPG or VTT?

Sounds Great!

@Micah Sweet Have you played the game yet, if so what's the complexity? I want to try it out. I own the core and the expansions out so far except the Deluxe Starter Set.

I have the game, but sadly have never gotten to play it. I've been playing too much of D&D and other games (not enough time in the world to play them all).

They just released PDFs of the characters writeups in all the books. You can get each book's write up collection for five bucks.

The rules are available via Roll20/Demiplane but not PDF.
