Bolen,

Well it mattered but since Monte didn't feel like picking a legal fight with a game company (electronic one folks), I can respect his decision. Though honestly I think he could have won, Iron Heroes will have to remain.

The question is, could he have won before projected release? It's in the printers now right? It is annoying that this came up, and so late in the production cycle, too. Confused customers indeed. It's just a case of lawyers being lawyers (no offense to those lawyers of ENWorld of course ;)).

Do a google.... They seem to be an electronic gaming company with several employees. My guess is that neither Malhavok nor Iron Lore could survive the legal battle but if I had to guess which one had the deeper pockets, I would guess IL. Electronic game companies, even tiny, intsy, bintsy ones require huge amounts of operating capitol as opposed to nearly nothing for game companies (nearly nothing in comparison).

The thing to remember is that, when it comes to small companies, it doesn't matter who would win the lawsuit. The mere cost of fighting the suit, plus the cost in lost production time, makes it a battle not worth waging.
