Iron man 2 (no spoilers)

Edit: And before some comic fanboy goes off his rocker, yes, I'm aware of the historical comic linkage between Iron Man and the Avengers. I just don't see the need to adhere to canon, and think the as-envisioned movie Iron Man works better alone.

Okay, but...

1) There was Avengers "cross-over" material in the first one, and...

2) They've been pretty open from minute one about the fact that the various marvel movies--both Iron Man movies included--are leading up to an Avengers movie.

Nothing wrong with you feeling the way you do, but you should, at least, have expected it going in.

Just for the record...

Samuel L. Jackson is also signed onto to reprise the role in nine more Marvel movies, including Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers.

That's eight more then...

By the way, folks, do remember that the thread title says "no spoilers". I'm glad you've all blocked off the spoilers, but how about we keep that to a separate thread, please?

Loved it. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Perfect? Of course not. (I agree, for instance, that the final battle ended a bit abruptly.)

It did. OTOH, I realized that it felt just like some climactic battles I've run in M&M, where they PCs pulled out some awesome combo, backed it up with good rolls, and my dice decided that no, the fight really should end now. So now I kind of like it. :)

Also, I thought it showed that Stark's armor was just a bit better in some ways than the knockoffs, when you got down to it.

(I hope that was sufficiently non-spoilery.)
