[OOC: Not yet, Ferrix! It is still the surprise round. The next critter has to go. Erudite and Tenser might as well roll for initiative, but do not roll anything else, yet.]

The second, slightly smaller, feline crouches, and imitates in exacting ugliness the appearance and sound of its companion, but this time directed at Kelwan.
[Kelwan, make a Will save; Ferrix, Stor is mildly scared, and as a result is Shaken; he takes a -2 to all ability checks, skill checks, attack rolls, and saving rolls for the next round.]

OOC: Sorry, Shaken? Ugh... roll a 20 and still shaken. Just use my proposed action from the last post.

Reloading quickly, Liksa lets fly with another slingstone at the creatures. "Fly true little stone!" she says. The stone flies through the air and strikes true, and hard. I hope that didn't hurt it too hard, she thinks to herself.

OOC:
She attacks, in terms of priority, 1) One not engaged in combat
2) One that is injured
Attack: 20! +7 = 27
Crtical confirm: 17 + 7 =24
Damage: (Warsling: x4) 14 + 2 (Sneak damage, if applicable) +2 = 18
PS:Nice to have one's prayers answered!

Round 2 Results

Current Initiative, Round 2
Creature 1 = 22
Stor = 19
Liksa = 13
Sparrowhawk = 12
Kelwan = 11
Creature 2 = 9

[Kelwan makes his Will save against the smaller beast during the surprise round, and is Shaken (-2 to all rolls for the next round).
Finishing the surprise round:]

Oblivious to Liksa, the first beast is struck solidly about the ribs by her first throw, after it releases its bloodcurcling scream at the giant-like Stor. Ears flat against it's head, it turns on her. It's companion shrieks at Kelwan, who, despite his resolve, loses color about the face and trembles slightly, much like Stor.

[End of the surprise round, start of Round 2]

The largest one, wounded by Liksa, turns on the halfling. It leaps upon her, raking her with knife-like fangs threaded with pungent saliva. [Bite Attack, 1d20+2=22
confirm critical (1d20+2=15); critical NOT confirmed
bite damage (1d6=5) to Liksa]

Stor lets out a burst of laughter at the creature's horrible visage, "ugly little beast," he says. Drawing his longbow back, he'll launch a yard of wood and steel at the creature that bared itself to him. The shaft flies true, embedding itself it the creature's shoulder, and it drops down in the midst maneuvering around Liksa for another attack.

Working with a well-preserved sense of survival, Liksa's second stone flies true, striking the too-close-for-comfort second creature. The heavy bullet embeds itself with a sickening wet snap in the skull behind the ear, profuse amounts of blood staining the fur and shoulder. With a shudder, the creature falls to the ground, skin and muscles relaxing to cover the face again, now merely a strange member of the feline species. It is not until both felines are motionless on the ground that she feels the pain in her right leg, and wet, hot stickniness on her fingers. After a moment or two she attempts sits down.

Sparrowhawk takes a quick scan of the area, making sure the noise has not attracted any undue attention, keeping an arrow nocked. At least for now, it seems, nothing has chosen to investigate, or to reveal its presence here at the Roost.

Kelwan is taken aback by the disgusting felines, but manages to recover in time to launch his sling bullet at one of the abominations just as it screeches in his direction. As he sees the thing go down to Liksa's amazingly well-placed shot, he saves his bullet, putting down the sling.

It is then that the party hears Liksa scream.

[Liksa, don't do anything right now. Check your email first.]

[OOC NOTE: As a general rule, try to make sure you keep your actions for seperate rounds seperate. I will announce the end of one round and the start of another, so until I do, please do not go ahead to the next round. :)]

Liksa shivers after realising she was bitten. "What creature is this? W-w-why did it a-attack us? A-am I going to d-die?" She sees the red blood flowing down her arm. As she sits down, her fingers, still clutching the warsling, disturbing the earth. Her fingers are clasping the skeletal remains of another hand, as though it was ready to be her dance partner. She screams loudly, sending nearby birds fluttering into the air. SHREEEEEE!!!!!!

She staggers back, it reveals a humanoid arm sticking out of the ground. She promptly backs away, frightened and shaken. Somehow, beneath the squishy ground, she knows she'll probably find the rest of the body. She waits for the others to approach, the blood from the wound soaking into her clothes and armor.

The Mistran strides over to Liksa's position, bow aimed at the spot on the ground she scrambles away from. Seeing the source of the excitement, he looks briefly annoyed, putting away his bow. Then, noticing the blood from Liksa's flank, concern replaces his disapproval, and he approaches her to look at the wound more closely. A backwards wave of his hand tells Kelwan his services will be needed, and a raised finger jabbed at Stor advises the big guy to keep watch for the group. All the while, his eyes never leave the rakes in the halfling's flesh.

"Krenshars now. Ghosts later, perhaps." A slight smile at Liksa, as he waits for Kelwan. His violet eyes twinkle a bit.

Kelwan stows his sling and bullet as he runs quickly to Liksa, speaking to both her and Stor, "Well done, both of you. Liksa, if you cook half as well as you sling, I look forward to our next meal together." He says the last as he speaks a quick prayer to Gorm, laying his free hand on Liksa's shoulder and a gentle current of positive energy fills her, stopping the bleeding and closing the open wounds.

[OOC: Kelwan will spontaneously convert Shield of Faith to a Cure Light Wounds on Liksa. Cure Light Wounds = 1d8 + 1 = 4]
