I have to say I have been very struck by all the negative reactions to 4E (both on the web, and in my own group). From what I am hearing at my local gaming stores, people are generally unhappy with the new rules system. Its still early, and gamers could warm up to the product over time, but it reminds me of the New Coke fiasco. All they needed was Bill Cosby doing 4e promos.

There have also been very many positive reactions.

Are you suggesting 4th edition will be withdrawn and 3rd edition reinstated? (Maybe rebranded as D&D Classic?) Or is "New Coke" convenient shorthand for "any new product that didn't wow 100% of the customers of the old product"?
