Yep. The all-stars edition really killed it for me. Especially when they just handed Ruport a million without earning it.
I voted for Rupert. :] :p

What nearly ruined it for me was Rob's wedding proposal. I was dry-heaving that night.

OTOH, it gives me hope that even the most beautiful, sexy girl is willing to marry the ugliest human(?). So, yeah, there is hope for obese gamers out there.

Never even saw one episode. Don't care abt that crap. I only caught the last ep or so of American Idol to see if Fantasia was worth all the hype (she was) and the fact she's from here where I live (or abt 6 miles away...)

I'm still watching, but ugh.
This is what I warned about when they announced All-Stars.
If this seasons personalities suck, theyre endagering the entire franchise.
and WOW, do these guys suck.
All-Stars worked better than it should have, but then they ruined it by giving rupert money for no reason. absolutely ridiculous.
But this year has been a disaster.
The first seemingly innocuous mistake was to expand to 18 survivors. but with two tribes of 9, it led to the "older" cliques deciding to vote off the younger ones with 5-4 advantages. This never could have happened at 16.
Now each week, we get to watch somone get voted off just because.
At least the "guys" tribe is three older guys of the 5 man clique, and John can try to save himself by siding with the ladies.
But I bet it doesnt work, and before we go to singles we lose John and Rory.
Then the girls will pick off the guys.
And we will have an all sucktastic ending.
Sure theres a bit of a chance that the few cool people left could make the merge, and alliances could shift, but i'm not getting my hopes up

Though he went about it wrong (whispering to Chris at IC), Bubba's idea of the other team intentionally losing has some merit, IMO. If they threw two matches, and got rid of the girls, then even if one guy was voted off the other tribe, they'd at least have a 5-5 guy-girl tie going into the merge. Too bad no one ever seems to think tactically like this (save for one episode of Survivor: Pearl Islands, when a match was thrown to rid the tribe of an unwanted member.)

Just once I'd like to see one tribe win all the immunities going into the merge. Of course, they do the "tribal shuffle" every season now...

The big problem with survivor is that everyone has seen it and knows what strategy works (get a majority group, make one of them the leader, stick with the group regardless of what happens and hope to make it to the final 3) the all-stars really followed this formula even when they should have known that they were going soon (at least I hope they knew, I guess they could have been that unbelievably naive)... this makes the show predictable and boring.

After the first few episodes you pretty much know who is staying to the end. what Survivor needs to do is make it so the alliances don't work. I figure they should throw all the players in one tribe and when it comes to reward/immunity challanges have the host randomly pick sides and which ever side loses goes to tribal council. That way it will never be the same players/alliances booting people out.

I stopped watching when Jasmine Trias was voted out. I think I've had more than my fills of AI (and it does not have to do with Intelligence) and Simon Cowell.
