Though, if he has a basement/dungeon for D&D I would expect that it may be more than just D&D but multipurpose for many forms of entertainment...sort of like a large mancave.

Could be, but I was told that his son said it was "just for D&D." Doesn't mean he was correct, but the impression I got was that it was dedicated, not a multi-functional room/space.

People on the left don't like him because he is insanely wealthy and/or issues about the underlying business model of Amazon vis-a-vis the workforce;

and those on the right don't like him because of the Washington Post and our current executive.

So I'd take any non-verified speculation with some, um, skepticism.

Agreed, I was just curious if it was common knowledge or not (this is really the only place I interact with the larger outside world - other than direct observation and engagement), and if I how many grains of salt I should take the information with.

You pay tax on income, not wealth.

If you own property, you pay propterty taxes. If you own a car or boat, you pay excise taxes. These are taxes on wealth, not income.
