Is buy.com honoring it's $14 price for ELH?

well, I just ordered it, but it's on "Back Order"

I'm sure they'll honor it. If they try to weasel out of it, the purchaser has the right to the advertised price.

Several people on this board have had the oposite results with Amazon.com in the past

From my experience-

The site will either cancel all the orders and place the item back up with the correct price.

Or just charge you the new price, heh.

Good luck, though!

They didn't fight hard enough. An advertised price is a contract that the seller agrees to as soon as the price is advertised.

As for buy.com . . . I've bought many things from them in the past that seemed very underpriced and they didn't say anything about it.

I'll be sure to keep you posted on my purchase.

I am not sure a company has to honor a price when a back order is created. They do not have to give out rain checks (I think). They would have to notify you of the price difference. You only authorized them to charge your CC account a specific amount.

Any updates on this? I'm not personally worried since I ordered from Amazon, but it'd be nice to see someone get a book for such a good deal. BTW, I'm one of those people that Amazon has change the price on so I know it usually doesn't work.

Incorrect, I think. It's been a while since my law class, but I'm pretty sure that an actual typo in a price (as opposed to a bait-and-switch tactic to draw in consumers) does not have to be honored. Any lawyers here?
