This was a great game, using loose D&D based rules with the story based on politics in France and England with a fantasy twist. It was almost entirely social, people just wandering around forming alliances, spreading rumors and trying not to get assiainated. as many as 15-30 people played at once. Dice were completely unused, and the only paper was a list of players and postions that everyone had. I played twice with the last time at gencon Wisconsin, where I was added as an assitant sheriff at the last minute and ended up running off with an heir to the throne.
Each year the DM would write up the events of the previous year and add it to the cannon.
It was not without its problems as actually assaisnating someone had all sorts of DM imposed difficulties, and there were a few tricks that worked every year. It had a group of regulars as well as walk in players.
So is it still playing at gencon? anyone else have memories of it?
