Is Dragonkith a good Prestige class to go?

I am a lvl 10 fighter and have met a silver dragon. To be accepted as a dragonkith I have to either collect a Amulet of the Planes or a Chaos Diamond to the dragon ... is it worth it?

Crothy,

Draconomicion. It allows a person to attain near dragon like qualities but not as near as Dragon Disciple. (Course it's primarily more geared toward fighter types to protect their master dragon)
It was also shown in (I believe) Dragon 281. I could be wrong but I believe that's where it was shown.

*Yes I'm back. Blame stupid Adelphia and moving. :p *

thank nightfall, so many class and so many books hard to keep track of what is where.

I'd say mechancially the calss is a bit weak. It is though really easy to get into. It seems to be a good story based class as there are some really cool plots and ways to make the character role play and get depth of personally even more here. Sorcous Knack though with the right spell can really be powerful, but you need a high charsima and a dragon with a good spell list to get something worth while. Most of the abilities are passive like the natural armor and resistance, so it is not a class that has a lot of cool abilities.

In the ned it really depends on the type of campaign you ar ein. A more combat oriented one I think would find this class lacking, but a story and character driving high on the role play game would be well rewarded by the options and dragon ally this class provides.

My pleasure yea Lord of Threads and Postings. I mostly remember these things because, much like my NPC, once it's in there, it's in there. *cheers on Dave "Da man" Broham for his fine work on Shelzar and Bl'ayne Nightfall.* :)

I'm sort of in agreement with Crothy. I've seen better warrior types that might work well with a Silver. (Champion Of Bahamut and/or Platinum Knight) But while it's not a great choice for Fighter types, it's not exactly terrible like choosing say...Exemplar from CoAd.

Agree with the consensus -- weak from a power-gaming point of view, but fantastic from a role-playing point of view. Dragonkith is what a prestige class should be: prestigious!
