Is Dragonlance Done?

OK, in addition to the monster book, the basic Dragonlance and War of the Lance era books are available in hardcopy now, yes?

Yes. There are a great many books available in print, actually, and all through the online store at www.dragonlance.com or through retailers and FLGS.

The reason I know it's still alive is because I spend most of my free time writing for it. :)

You have free time?! Wow. :) Hey Margaret! You got a slacker over here! ;)

*is kidding* I'm looking forward to whatever 2007 brings Cam.

Trampas,

Any chance you or someone *nods to Cam* might get us poor suffering DL folk a preview of this book? Like in 2007 perhaps.

Or maybe a suggested/estimated date (month mostly) in 2006/2007 for Races?

I don't have an estimated date for Races yet. When Jamie and crew make the announcement, it'll be posted on Dragonlance.com and the Nexus.

I'm sure they'll do previews for this book on Dragonlance.com as well, so keep an eye out.

I'm just getting back into gaming after 5-6 years, and quit anything dragonlance when they went with that bizaar saga rules. I'm wondering if the new Age of Mortals is pretty much like normal D&D? I might be interested in starting a new campaign if it is.

I'd love to run through the Classics modules again.

Until that happens, I'm using Dragons of Despair's map of Xak Tsaroth as the lair of Illthane the Black (Age of Worms campaign, she's a mature adult black in my campaign), replacing the draconians with black draconic lizardfolk and the gully dwarves with black draconic kobolds, all the result of Illthane's breeding. PCs will have to save Allustan from Illthane's clutches, much like the companions had to save Raistlin from Khisanth/Onyx. ;)

Dragonlance was the first official 3.5 D&D campaign setting, and yes, it's more or less standard D&D with a few additional races, classes, and a couple of tweaks. I use the core rules more than anything else when I'm writing for the adventures and sourcebooks; for the most part, you can run things without much effort.

Plus the fact they are updating the classic Dragonlance modules too. First done is Dragons of Autumn. Next is... uhm Cam? ;)
