IS Gary Gygax's World Builder Hardcover any good?

He's a Troll, Gary. Lord or not, he's a troll.

He doesn't seek advice... he eats it. Preferably with billy-goats.

:D

Cheers!

Heh,

Somthing came up two nights ago that I am hopeing World Builder might cover.

Does World Builder cover the cost of RENTING a horse mule or pony?

Thanks.

My decision to buy may be based on the answer.

Aaron.

Actually, no.

However, the suggested monetary system for general use in all the "GFW" series is handy for all such things. Using $1 in modern value, that equating to one ounce of copper in a large coin, it is pretty easy to translate contemporary costs to the fantasy milieu. Horses equate to automobiles in fantasy prices, so renting a horse is like renting a car. Of course trained warhorses are like top of the line sports cars or Rolls-Royce or Bently limosines.

FWIW,
Gary

Gary is a troll also, Merric. Remember the famous bearded dwarven women thread ?

LOL,

That was just a throw-away, and damned if it didn't cause such an uproar that I was astonished! Who really cares? Guess I found out big time

It was most gratifying to have Gimli prove my point in TTT, though. I'd missed Tolkien's commentary of the matter of female dwarves. I suppose the good Professor noted what I had, the lack of depictions of the dwarf "fair sex," and drew the same conclusions I expressed in jest a couple of decades later...

Cheers,
Gary
