Nor should it. Otherwise it would defeat the whole purpose of having the extra HP.

Saitou said:Honestly, I think they statted the Wizard up taking into consideration the Archmage Epic Destiny, which lets you renew powers like crazy, and ultimately use a Daily spell as an Encounter spell.
Korgoth said:Unfortunately, you only have to get him down to 450 HP and then you can just use Intimidate.
Kishin said:So how long is this misquoting of ruletext going to show up as random 4E bashing? Anyone want to start a pool? I mean, this IS the internet, so things that are over a week old are effectively ancient, but by the same token, this is people arguing about D&D, so it could stick around for years....

That sound more like the problem of players gaining XP for their enemies' benefit rather than their own.HP Dreadnought said:Try handling 121 combatants of approximately equal power level to yourself in 3E!
Sun? Sun!!!! No, we hates it, the bright, burning thing. It burns us and blinds us, precious.Piratecat said:Relax, folks. If you're getting testy - on either side - then go outside and sit in the sun for a while. There's no need to be rude to other people.
Have you seen the Sun lately? With its at-will sunburn attack against my fair skin? I preferred the 3.5 version; at least it has range reduced by diagonals.Piratecat said:Relax, folks. This isn't Scientology. It's a game. I'm allowed to criticize an aspect of it I find problematic. If I have to artificially inflate a DC every encounter so I can do an end run around Johnny MegaSkill then I have some grounds for complaint.
But then I forgot. Even though I have the books on pre-order, even though I actually defend it to people and suggest that it's worthwhile to give the game a chance, if I dare to criticize one single thing about the game I'm a hater.
Try growing some perspective, people.
